Early in my career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I realized that the traditional medical system is completely failing runners.
When a runner walks into a standard clinic with knee, foot, or Achilles pain, they are almost always given the exact same terrible advice: "Just take a few weeks off, take some ibuprofen, and do these yellow theraband stretches."
I built Rangel Physical Therapy & Performance because I got tired of seeing athletes told to give up their sport.
I know that for you, running isn't just a workout. It’s your stress relief, your alone time, and your identity. Being sidelined doesn't just hurt your body; it messes with your head.
Through my clinical experience and my work with hundreds of athletes, I discovered that the secret to pain-free running isn't rest—it’s Tissue Capacity. Resting an injury actually makes your tendons weaker. You don't need to be treated like fragile glass; you need to build the physical armor required to handle three times your body weight with every stride.
My mission is to pull you out of the "Boom and Bust" injury cycle. By combining my clinical background in biomechanics with progressive, heavy strength programming, I bridge the gap between rehab and high mileage.
My core beliefs as a coach and clinician:
• Rest is not rehab: It just delays the pain until your next run.
• You shouldn't have to trade it it your miles for the elliptical: We find ways to keep you moving while you heal.
• Rehab should look like training: We don't just massage the pain; we lift heavy, we do plyometrics, and we build a chassis that can handle your aerobic engine.
I don't just want to get you out of pain so you can sit comfortably on the couch. I want to get you to the start line feeling stronger than you ever have before.
